A Review of Stardew Valley

I’ve been engrossed in a number of games lately... well, three games. The number is three. Anyway, seeing as they’ve been taking up all my free time lately, I haven’t written anything for a while, so I thought I might as well write about these three games in quick succession. The first game that crashed everything else I’ve been doing during my free time is Stardew Valley . Stardew Valley is one of the most absorbing games I’ve played since the first time I played Dark Souls ... which was actually earlier this year. Oh, and I also first played Resident Evil 4 around the same time and then quickly played it again two or three times, so I guess that was pretty absorbing as well. Another thing about Munch's Oddysee (part 1.5)

In my recent review about the whole of the Oddworld series (which missed out two of the main games, but whatever) I went on a quite some length about why Munch’s Oddysee is the weakest of the main line-up, citing the easy gameplay and far goofier tone compared to the earlier games with its cartoonish graphics and voices, and the bouncy, jaunty soundtrack. I have another thing to add: for a game called Munch’s Oddysee , I found myself playing as Abe for about 80% of the gameplay time. in the vast majority of levels I have Munch just sitting at the respawn points waiting to revive Abe whenever I get him killed, which seeing as there is absolutely no penalty for death in this game happens a lot. I’ll occasionally have to use Munch for something in most levels, but more often than not it’s an aside to the main thrust of the levels action and/or puzzles. Resident Evil Revelations review/incoherent rant

Having only been a Resident Evil fan for little over a year there’s very little insider knowledge I have over the entire franchise, and I certainly can’t claim to have played every title. The Gun Survivor series I doubt I’ll ever play because I’ve heard of their reputation, although that being said I did give Resident Evil 6 a chance, as much of a mistake that was. Anyway, the point I was making is that I haven’t played every game in the franchise yet, and probably at this point never will. But one highly respected entry to the series I’ve only recently gotten around to trying is Resident Evil: Revelations on the 3DS. I mentioned in my Luigi’s Mansion review that the only reason I got a 3DS in the first place was to play RE: Revelations, because it’s sometimes treated as a main entrance in the series, or at least one of those weird entries that aren’t quite main line games, but are by no means a spin-off either, like Resident Evil Zero come to think of it, another game that I’ve neve...
